What is the Malaysian Friendly Course?
The Malaysian Friendly Course is a newly developed module designed to replace the We Are The Host (WATH) module that has been in use since 2014. This tourism industry training module aims to provide comprehensive training to frontline staff who are directly or indirectly involved in the tourism sector. Additionally, this course is a pre-requisite that tour guides must complete to obtain their MOTAC certification from the Malaysian Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC).
Objectives of the Malaysian Friendly Course?
The course provides exposure to activists and those on the forefront of the tourism industry about the latest developments within Malaysian tourism. It focuses on enhancing superior customer service skills for better service delivery, understanding the communication process, overcoming obstacles, and employing effective communication techniques. Furthermore, it aims to raise awareness and share information about the latest tourism products.
Who needs to attend?
This one-day course is open to any frontliners, tourism industry activists, and individuals involved in the tourism sector, either directly or indirectly. Only trained instructors, recognized as Mesra Malaysia Master Trainers by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, are authorized to conduct this training. Each participant who attends this course will receive a Course Participation Certificate from MOTAC.
