Every big journey starts somewhere — and ours began back in 1985, when Travex started out as Travex Services Center & Enterprise. What began as a small hub helping people kick-start their careers in travel, tourism, and hospitality has grown into one of Malaysia’s most recognized names in tourism education.
By 1998, we evolved into Travex International College — a boutique college built for dreamers, explorers, and go-getters who want more than just a classroom experience. We focus on real-world tourism skills, hands-on training, and helping you build a career that can literally take you places. 🌎✨
With over 30 years in the game, Travex has produced some of the Top IATA (International Air Transport Association) students in Malaysia. We were also the official IATA Local Coordinator and Examination Centre from 2012 to 2018 — not too bad, right? 😏

Tourism Industry training ICON, Mdm Keriun Ong launched the 1st Tour Agency Operations course back in 1985.
She has pioneered travel and tourism industry training for the last 36 years. Today, the tourism industry is filled with TRAVEX’s graduates where most of them are leaders and job creators in the tourism industry for economic development.
She continues to pursue her vision of creating extraordinary TRAVEX graduates. She assisted the Ministry of Culture, Arts & Tourism in establishing the Association of Tourism Training Institutes of Malaysia (ATTIM). She was also the 1st President for ATTIM.
Mdm Ong is the Department of Skills Development (DSD), Ministry of Human Resources tourism industry expert.
She is currently in the DSD panel for external verifier and assessor.
She strongly believes that “TRAVEX GRADUATES' SUCCESS IS HER SUCCESS”.
Mdm Ong welcomes Malaysians from all background to benefit from her expertise and be part of Travex's Success Story.
Today, she has planned Special Course Packages to help potential students who are interested to join the hospitality and tourism industries. Special Package “2 in 1” – two courses, low fees and easy payment scheme where diploma students can apply for PTPTN or use EPF Withdrawal to study. TRAVEX LECTURERS & TRAINERS
TRAVEX teaching team have more than 30 years of education and skills training experience. Senior lecturers and trainers have long working experience in TRAVEX. Most of them are actively involved in the tourism, hotel and aviation industries. Some of our teaching staff managed or owned tours and travel business.
Our teaching team are friendly and helpful. They provide close monitoring in students learning and they played an active role in coaching, mentoring and guidance to all students. After services are extended to graduates in monitoring those who opt for part time, or freelance jobs ensuring that these groups are happy and busy with tours assignments.
TRAVEX teaching team being the longest experience in training tourist guides in Malaysia has reached its remarkable achievement in obtaining the 5-STAR JPK Award 2013.
'MALAYSIA NO. 1' IN TOURIST GUIDE TRAINING.
TRAVEX has also produced the 'TOP' IATA student in Malaysia in December 2012.
